Open Letter to Clients of ADP

An Invitation to Provide Cost Effective Services

ADP Screening and Selection Services has announced that it is terminating its occupational health examination services effective February 2006. WorkCare, a national integrated health company owned by a team of physicians board-certified in occupational medicine, recognizes the operational hardship that may occur to clients affected by this news, and is offering to assist those clients in transferring its services to WorkCare.

"Occupational health services, and specifically medical surveillance activities, are compliance programs that require close vendor-client integration," said Chief Executive Officer Dr. Peter Greaney. "We understand the logistical considerations that employers may face in this transition period---establishing a new network of clinics, transferring voluminous employee medical records, and securing a new MRO. We are offering ADP clients the opportunity to use our streamlined integration plan to expeditiously transfer their health service needs to WorkCare. We have a scalable capacity that allows us to swiftly add new clients and ensure there is little or no disruption to the existing program."

Cost-Effecive Solutions

Because one of our core competencies is managing medical information, WorkCare is able to maximize economies of scale from its established list of 1,000 plus network providers and pass on standardized pricing to your company.

We also understand the importance of maintaining quality in administering the program, as poor provider performance can lead to increased costs, while draining management productivity. WorkCare can offer your company significant internal cost savings because we manage the administrative component and oversee all provider quality issues, reducing your company's staff involvement in the process. This in turn reduces employee down time that often occurs if employees have to undergo repeat testing due to clinic error as indicated below.

Full-Service Turnkey Medical Surveillance Program

WorkCare can efficiently deploy a customized medical surveillance program to ADP clients that meets 29 CFR 1910.120 technical requirements.

  • A built-in credentialed provider network in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and many international locations
  • Clinic provider management to ensure clinical services are delivered in an efficient, quality-driven manner
  • Consolidated management of all participants in the medical surveillance program, including timely notification of employee health clearance status to appropriate EHS staff
  • Only board-certified occupational physicians used for examinations and records review
  • Streamlined administrative management of employee health exams, including scheduling, participation tracking, consolidated pricing, and record retention
  • OSHA recordkeeping services

In addition to these services, WorkCare offers physician-based Incident Intervention® to help employers manage their occupational health injuries. Incident Intervention is the practice of using WorkCare's physicians to "intervene" at the time of a workplace injury or accident occurs. This program is designed to support company safety goals/targets, while reducing runaway costs associated with workplace injuries/illnesses.
