Medical
Services Performed: WorkCare works with
this client on a program that covers
over 2,000 employees whose jobs range
from construction laborers to engineers
and supervisory and management staff.
This program includes employees assigned
to a project to remediate a large
federal office building in Virginia and
includes significant employee exposure
to asbestos.
WorkCare has consulted with the client
to develop an annual employee job task
analysis and employee potential exposure
assessment. This program includes a
computer software program which tracks
assessment results and computes
applicable employee medical surveillance
testing parameters. WorkCare’s
physicians developed an annual employee
survey form. The results of the employee
surveys are tracked in the WorkCare
management information system. WorkCare
is also the custodian of records and
provides occupational medicine
consulting support services as
requested. |
Contract Successes:
This contract allowed client to implement a
standardized medical surveillance program
throughout its workforce at a significant
reduction in costs. WorkCare successfully
designed a computer-based employee job task
analysis system that assigns employees the
correct medical surveillance examination based
on actual work tasks and potential exposures in
the workplace.
