Peter P. Greaney, M.D.

Dr. Greaney established WorkCare in 1984 as a national occupational health consulting company while successfully operating a busy occupational medicine practice for many years in Anaheim, Calif.

Dr. Greaney established WorkCare in 1984 as a national occupational health consulting company while successfully operating a busy occupational medicine practice for many years in Anaheim, Calif. His pursuits include research into innovations to deliver practical, integrated employee health management solutions across the care continuum. In 2021, Dr. Greaney received the President’s Award from long-standing WorkCare client Costco (2008), the company’s highest honor, in recognition of exceptional assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Greaney is board-certified in preventive medicine and occupational medicine and board-eligible in toxicology. In addition to serving on Partners in Health boards, Dr. Greaney is actively involved in WorkCare’s strategic product development, client relations, thought leadership and physician oversight initiatives.

William (Bill) E. Nixon

Bill was named President and CEO of WorkCare in October 2018. He is responsible for executing the company's strategies to create sustainable growth.

He joined WorkCare in 2011 as Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, Bill was instrumental in significantly expanding WorkCare’s footprint by investing in information technology, creating scalable delivery models and entering into strategic partnerships that add value for customers. He has held senior management positions in private and public companies for over 30 years, including 10 years as Executive Vice President and CFO for CORE, Inc., a provider of integrated disability management services to Fortune 500 companies. Bill has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Eastern Nazarene College, Quincy, Mass.

Kay Gillespie

Kay joined WorkCare in November 2021 to lead our Human Resources and Learning and Development teams. She's passionate about HR programs that drive employee engagement and business growth.

Kay joined WorkCare in November 2021 to lead our Human Resources and Learning and Development teams. She previously provided HR consulting to WorkCare and several other companies while working with HR Service, Inc. Kay has over 20 years of HR experience and has served in a variety of roles in a diverse and wide range of industries. Kay is passionate about building high- impact HR programs and initiatives that support business strategy and drive employee engagement. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania, and a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management from Stevens Institute of Technology.

Chief Operating Officer

Allison Khosroshahin

Allison joined WorkCare as a Human Resources Coordinator in 2005. Since then, she has continuously expanded her role. Before her November 2021 promotion to Chief Operating Officer, she served as Vice President, Human Resources.

In addition, in the past two years she managed implementation of WorkCare’s COVID-19 testing program, including onsite clinical support and the provision of thousands of COVID-19 diagnostic test kits to U.S. companies and their employees. As Chief Operating Officer, Allison works closely with WorkCare’s business division leaders to help ensure seamless service and the delivery of innovative, cost-effective solutions for clients. Allison has a bachelor’s degree in communications from California State University, Fullerton.

Frederick (Fred) Peguero

Fred joined the WorkCare leadership team in January 2019 after serving as Vice President of IT Enterprise Business Solutions with ECMC Group, Santa Ana, Calif.

Fred joined the WorkCare leadership team in January 2019 after serving as Vice President of IT Enterprise Business Solutions with ECMC Group, Santa Ana, Calif. He was recognized in 2022 by The Healthcare Technology Report as one of the nation’s top 25 Chief Technology Officers.

Fred enjoys setting strategic vision, building tactical plans and acting as a change agent. He is particularly passionate about leveraging technology to deliver business results. He leads WorkCare’s dedicated IT team and has been instrumental in the the development of the WorkMatters client portal, as well the design of new information management platforms for Medical Exams & Travel and absence management service lines. At ECMC, a financial services company, Fred was responsible for enterprise architecture, software engineering, applications development, integration, business intelligence and reporting, and database management teams. Prior to ECMC Group, he held executive-level IT roles with Ingram Micro, a Fortune 100 company, and was engaged as a consultant and technical project manager at a number of leading organizations. Fred is a Project Management Professional and certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt. He has Bachelor of Arts Degrees in International Affairs and Spanish from Lafayette College, Easton, Pa.

Maria Pitol

Maria Pitol joined WorkCare as Chief Financial Officer in October 2022. Maria is instrumental in the development of innovative business solutions and strategies to support company growth.

Maria Pitol joined WorkCare as Chief Financial Officer in October 2022. Maria is instrumental in the development of innovative business solutions and strategies to support company growth. Her responsibilities include financial oversight of merger and acquisition integration functions and international operations. Maria has over 20 years of experience building and leading finance teams in complex national and multinational companies. Prior to joining WorkCare, she was the Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller for a multinational environmental engineering group, where she had an active role in taking the company through a successful initial public offering. Before moving to the environmental industry, she held several management and controller positions in the aerospace industry. A native of Brazil, she started her career at Deloitte in its São Paulo office. Maria has a law degree from PUC/SP Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo with a concentration in corporate law and economics, and she is a member of the Brazilian Bar Association. She moved from Brazil to the U.S. to pursue her work in the aerospace industry. Maria lives with her husband and son in Orange County, Calif., where she enjoys painting as a hobby and weekend bike rides.

Senior Vice President

John Paul M. Longphre, M.D., M.P.H.

Dr. Longphre serves as a consulting medical director at client companies and provides clinical oversight for WorkCare's Incident Intervention telehealth program.

Dr. Longphre serves as a consulting medical director at client companies and provides clinical oversight for WorkCare’s Incident Intervention telehealth program. His contributions include strategic planning and insights into the development of WorkCare’s automated on-call physician contact system. He joined WorkCare as an Associate Medical Director in 2008. Based in North Carolina, he is board-certified in Occupational Medicine. Dr. Longphre earned his Medical Degree and Master’s Degree in Public Health at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. He completed a fellowship in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine and his residency in Occupational Medicine at Duke University Medical Center. He is fluent in Japanese and a multi-engine, instrument-rated private pilot.

Vice President and Associate Medical Director

Irene Grace, M.D., M.P.H.

Dr. Grace is a Vice President and Associate Medical Director. She first joined WorkCare’s Associate Medical Director team in 2013. Later, after completing another assignment, returned to our company in 2018.

Dr. Grace is a Vice President and Associate Medical Director. She first joined WorkCare’s Associate Medical Director team in 2013. Later, after completing another assignment, returned to our company in 2018. During her tenure with WorkCare she has provided clinical oversight and leadership for clinical accommodation, leave and absence management solutions, medical surveillance exams, injury triage and telemedicine, and Medical Review Officer (MRO) services. In addition, she has served as the Medical Director at several client companies. She is the former Medical Director (Occupational Health Services Officer) for the City of Long Beach. While with the city, she gained experience collaborating with bargaining units, doing disability evaluations, and developing police officer and firefighter medical standards. Her experience also includes Medical Director for a private industrial clinic, medical-legal evaluations, drug and alcohol testing programs, and writing OSHA-mandated policies and procedures.

Dr. Grace is board-certified in occupational and environmental medicine. Dr. Grace has a strong background in the management of orthopedic injuries and she is a qualified member of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Medical Examiner Registry. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from the University of California, Los Angeles. She received her Medical Doctorate from the University of Southern California and completed post-graduate training in a combined program through UCLA and USC.

Vice President and Associate Medical Director

Jeffrey A. Jacobs, M.D., M.P.H.

Dr. Jacobs supports WorkCare’s clients and their employees as a consulting medical director and provides executive leadership and clinical oversight for our Medical Exams & Travel division.

Dr. Jacobs supports WorkCare’s clients and their employees as a consulting medical director and provides executive leadership and clinical oversight for our Medical Exams & Travel division. Dr. Jacobs has more than 27 years of experience in a variety of practice settings.  His responsibilities include review of medical exam findings in the context of health status and hazard exposure risks. Before joining WorkCare in 2016, he was the corporate physician for a pharmaceutical manufacturer and medical director of Employee Health Services at a hospital in Philadelphia, Penn., where he is based. Dr. Jacobs is board-certified in occupational medicine. He earned his Medical Doctorate at Boston University and his Master’s Degree in Public Health at the University of California, Berkeley. He is a certified as a Medical Review Officer and commercial driver Medical Examiner.

Fred Kohanna, M.D., M.P.H.

Dr. Kohanna joined WorkCare in November 2021 as Vice President of Medical Consulting. Dr. Kohanna collaborates with clients to develop innovative, customized occupational health services that benefit employers and their employees.

Dr. Kohanna previously served as Vice President of Occupational Health and Chief Medical Officer at AllOne Health Resources. His experience includes consulting to companies in diverse industries, including petrochemicals, pulp and paper, hazardous waste, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, insurance and transportation. Dr. Kohanna is board certified in both Occupational and Environmental Medicine and Emergency Medicine. A fellow in the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, he received his Medical Degree from George Washington University’s School of Medicine and Health Sciences and his Master’s in Business Administration from Northeastern University. His clinical expertise includes environmental exposures, medical surveillance programs, fitness-for-duty and return-to-work evaluations, drug testing, wellness and health promotion, travel medicine and pre-placement health screenings.

Vice President, Onsite Clinical Operations

Patrick D. O’Callahan, M.D., M.P.H.

Dr. O'Callahan is the Vice President of Clinical Operations, providing occupational medicine consulting services to a number of clients across the industry spectrum.

Dr. O’Callahan is the Vice President of Clinical Operations, providing occupational medicine consulting services to a number of clients across the industry spectrum. An occupational medicine and family physician, he formally served as Medical Director and Assistant Clinical Professor for Occupational Health at Stanford University and the SLAC DOE accelerator laboratory in Palo Alto, Calif. He has provided occupational health care and clinical oversight in manufacturing, pharmaceutical research and development, and hospital-based settings. Dr. O’Callahan has extensive experience developing and running complex medical surveillance programs in research settings involving work with research animals, biological and chemical agents and emerging technologies. He has also worked extensively in emergency medicine, and is a certified Medical Review Officer. Dr. O’Callahan received his Medical Degree from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons and his Master’s in Public Health degree with an occupational and environmental medicine emphasis from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Susan Dornstein, D.O., R.D.

Dr. Dornstein joined WorkCare in September 2020 after serving as a Medical Director for WorkNet Occupational Health Services for 18 years. She is an integral member of the concierge COVID-19 return-to-work

Dr. Dornstein joined WorkCare in September 2020 after serving as a Medical Director for WorkNet Occupational Health Services for 18 years. She is an integral member of the concierge COVID-19 return-to-work, vaccine exemption, telehealth, WorkMatters and medical surveillance teams. As an occupational medicine, internal medicine and lifestyle medicine physician, Dr. Dornstein serves as the Medical Director for Boeing Corporation, where she performs fitness-for-duty, return-to-work, travel medicine and commercial driver license exams. She is certified as a Commercial Driver Medical Examiner. Dr. Dornstein received her D.O. degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) and completed an internal medicine residency at Christiana Care Medical Center in Delaware. She is board-certified in lifestyle medicine and a Registered Dietitian.

Sarah Johnson, M.D., M.P.H

Dr. Johnson joined WorkCare in 2020 as an Associate Medical Director and provides occupational medical consultant services to a variety of our clients in the entertainment industry. Before joining WorkCare, Dr. Johnson worked as a medical review officer and completed her residency in Occupational and Environmental Medicine at UCSF. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University and attended medical school at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She completed two years of general surgery in Chicago. Dr. Johnson taught high school English with Teach For America on the south side of Chicago before attending medical school. Dr. Johnson loves movies and ran two film series (indoor and outdoor) while at Johns Hopkins.

Associate Medical Director

Thieuha Hoang Mancuso, M.D., M.S.

Dr. Hoang Mancuso joined WorkCare as an Associate Medical Director in August 2009. She is dedicated to our Costco team and is the primary physician responsible for clarifying employees’ need for leave and work restrictions and verbal authentication of medical documentation.

Dr. Hoang Mancuso joined WorkCare as an Associate Medical Director in August 2009. She is dedicated to our Costco team and is the primary physician responsible for clarifying employees’ need for leave and work restrictions and verbal authentication of medical documentation. Earlier in her career, she was a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps and served 12 years providing clinical, occupational and operational medicine to active-duty service members and their families in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.  After leaving the military, Dr. Hoang Mancuso pursued occupational and environmental medicine at the University of California, Irvine, and earned her board certification. She has provided clinical services at the California Department of Industrial Relations, Kaiser Permanente and San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, and performed utilization review for Total Healthcare Management and Paladin Managed Care Services.

Dr. Hoang Mancuso earned her Doctor of Medicine degree at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine, Bethesda, MD. She has a Master’s Degree in Environmental Toxicology from the University of California, Irvine. She is a National Registry Certified Medical Examiner and is certified in Family and Medical Leave Administration. Dr. Hoang Mancuso is fluent in Vietnamese and she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and daughter.

Christine Zender, D.O., M.P.H.

Dr. Zender joined WorkCare in 2023. She previously served as the Medical Director for a Naval nuclear laboratory and as an occupational Medical Director with a national clinic network. Her occupational and environmental medicine practice experience includes clinical oversight/health care administration

Dr. Zender joined WorkCare in 2023 as an onsite Medical Director. She previously served as the Medical Director for a Naval nuclear laboratory and as an occupational Medical Director with a national clinic network. Her occupational and environmental medicine practice experience includes clinical oversight/health care administration; industry-specific medical surveillance and OSHA requirements, zoonotic diseases and toxicology; radiation surveillance and environmental medicine; Federal Aviation Administration and commercial motor vehicle operator exams; work-related injury care, urgent care and wellness; and wilderness medicine with search and rescue. In addition, she has worked with the Indian Health Service and volunteered with a disaster medical assistance team and for disaster preparedness outreach programs. Dr. Zender earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Touro University, Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine, and she is part of the University of Pennsylvania Occupational and Environmental Medicine Residency program. Her second languages includes German, American Sign Language and medical Spanish, and her hobbies include concert pedal harp, knitting, oil painting and judging martial arts competitions.

Ian Daigle

Ian joined WorkCare in November 2023 as Vice President, Business Operations. In this role, Ian leverages his industry experience and love of learning to evaluate goals and align data-driven strategies with client and employee needs

Ian joined WorkCare in November 2023 as Vice President, Business Operations. In this role, Ian leverages his industry experience and love of learning to evaluate goals and align data-driven strategies with client and employee needs to deliver a world-class occupational health experience. He spent the past 10 years leading strategic, cross-disciplinary departments at Amazon and other organizations where he focused on the leave, disability and accommodations sector. His expertise includes business operations and strategy, business insights and analytics, quality and continuous improvement, and claims operations. He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics at the University of Connecticut. He is a Lean Six Sigma green belt, and he obtained certification in business analytics at Cornell University. Ian lives with his wife and two children in Connecticut, where they enjoy the natural surroundings and spending time together outdoors. Ian’s hobbies include cooking, playing guitar and woodworking.

Vice President, Incident Intervention Program

Justin Gauser

Justin was promoted to his current position in June 2022. He joined WorkCare in March 2021 as Director, Entertainment Services. In that role, he oversaw our COVID-19 Compliance Officer program

Justin was promoted to his current position in June 2022. He joined WorkCare in March 2021 as Director, Entertainment Services. In that role, he oversaw our COVID-19 Compliance Officer program, where he was instrumental in achieving operational improvements and high client satisfaction scores. He was promoted to Vice President, COVID Operations, in January 2022, with responsibility for expanding COVID-related services, providing support for nationwide entertainment productions, delivering virtual and onsite proctored testing, launching a corporate daily testing program, and in April 2022, transitioning COVID screening from the Incident Intervention Program to the COVID department. His position as Incident Intervention Vice President includes continued responsibility for COVID Operations. Prior to joining WorkCare, Justin worked in the entertainment industry managing commercial, music video, TV show and movie productions, which allowed him to fine-tune his ability to manage client and employee expectations.

Bryan Reich

Bryan was promoted to the newly created position of Vice President, Programs & Operations - Prevention Services, in July 2023. Prior to his promotion, he was instrumental in the development and rapid growth of WorkCare's Industrial Athlete Program

Bryan was promoted to the newly created position of Vice President, Programs & Operations – Prevention Services, in July 2023. Prior to his promotion, he was instrumental in the development and rapid growth of WorkCare’s Industrial Athlete Program and served as its director for four years. Bryan’s responsibilities include continued strategic oversight of the Industrial Athlete Program. His focus on Prevention Services includes collaboration with Wellness Solutions, a WorkCare Company, to create corporate-facing solutions, including a comprehensive ergonomics program, and developing a new approach to pre-hire evaluations. His industry experience includes job demand analyses, employee education and training, and consulting on workplace health risks. He joined WorkCare after managing an industrial athlete program at a major utility and serving as head athletic trainer for the State Center Community College District, Reedly, Calif. A Certified Athletic Trainer, he earned his Master of Science degree in kinesiology at the University of Texas at Tyler.

Amy Sacharczyk

Amy joined WorkCare in November 2021 as Vice President, Occupational Health Operations. She was previously employed by AllOne Health Resources for nearly nine years, first as Director of Client Services and later as Vice President of Occupational Health.

In her new role, Amy manages the transition of AllOne Health’s occupational health business segment to WorkCare, which purchased the business in October 2021. Her goal is to ensure consistency in service delivery and enrichment of client relationships. Amy earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Management at the University of Massachusetts Boston.

Robin Brown

Robin has more than 16 years of experience in absence and disability management. Her primary responsibilities include overseeing WorkCare's disability management department and managing a major LofA/FMLA account.

Lynette Helmer

Lynette began her career in the field of employee health and wellness over 27 years ago. After working with two Fortune 500 companies, she created Wellness Solutions, the health promotion company she sold to WorkCare in 2021 to further expand the business.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in exercise science and health promotion at Brigham Young University. Lynette’s certifications include ergonomics, functional movement, mindfulness-based stress reduction, nutrition, sleep and brain EEG/neurofeedback.

Karen O’Hara

She is responsible for WorkCare’s internal and customer-facing communications and collateral. Before joining WorkCare in 2014, she was affiliated with UL as a Managing Editor and Communications Specialist and the National Association of Occupational Health Professionals, where she served as Senior Vice President and Editor-in-Chief for 22 years. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Humboldt State University, Arcata, Calif.
