WorkCare’s Chief Technology Officer Fred Peguero has been named one of the nation’s top 25 health care industry CTOs for 2022 by The Healthcare Technology Report.
Peguero joined WorkCare in 2019. In addition to leading the occupational health company’s dedicated information technology team, he has been instrumental in the development of a secure client portal to support COVID-19 prevention measures and two new platforms to streamline medical exam and absence management functions in U.S. workplaces. He helps set strategic vision for the company and is responsible for ensuring that WorkCare exceeds privacy and security laws and industry standards.
According to The Healthcare Technology Report, this year’s awardees represent some of the most innovative health care technology companies in the world. CTOs are considered indispensable to the success of companies operating in the health care space “because they enable management teams to pursue advanced technological visions while setting the path for research and development, and ultimately shepherding innovations from idea to market,” the magazine states.
