Safe + Sound Week is a national event sponsored by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). It is designed to raise awareness about the value of safety and health programs that promote leadership and front-line employee collaboration, and the use of a systematic process to mitigate workplace hazards.
Related activities typically involve an integrated approach with three components: management leadership, worker participation, and finding and fixing hazards. Sample activities are featured on the Safe + Sound webpage along with ways to acknowledge and publicize participation.
Please send stories about your Safe + Sound activities to Karen.OHara@workcare.com so they can be shared with others via the WorkCare website.
