In 2010, WorkCare entered into an agreement to provide a mining operation with a consulting medical director, medical surveillance and onsite medical services, including emergency response. Incident Intervention telehealth triage and a robust drug testing program were subsequently introduced. WorkCare’s onsite staff provides assistance with first-aid services and treatment for occupational and non-occupational illness and injury. Although the mine is in a relatively remote location, WorkCare successfully places qualified onsite staff members who are supervised by the medical director assigned to this client.
